Frequently asked questions
How do I unlock my apps?
In Settings → Daily Goal, choose Flashcards or Quiz as your Unlock Gate. Unlock is not “the rest of the day.”
Flashcards: clear every due review plus today’s new cards for every active deck. Apps stay open until new lessons are waiting or due reviews pile past your re-lock threshold (default 15, set under Daily Goal). Once they re-lock, clear the whole pile again.
Quiz: pass every quiz marked for unlock. Apps stay open for the window you set (15 minutes to 6 hours, default 1 hour), then lock until you pass those quizzes again. That window never carries past midnight.
Either way, apps also re-lock at midnight.
How do subscriptions and the free trial work?
LearnLocker requires a Pro subscription. Monthly and yearly plans are billed through Apple. The yearly plan includes a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers. Manage or cancel anytime in iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
I cancelled or my trial ended. Why can’t I open the app?
When Pro is not active, LearnLocker stays behind the paywall. Restore purchases on the paywall if you already subscribe on this Apple ID, or subscribe again to continue.
How do quizzes work?
Upload notes (PDF, Word document, or photo) to build a question bank. PDFs can be at most 50 pages. You can keep up to 5 quizzes and mark up to 3 for unlock. Passing all marked quizzes unlocks your apps for a set window, then they lock until you pass them again. If you fail a quiz, that quiz has a 10-minute cooldown before you can retry.
Why didn’t Screen Time lock or unlock as expected?
LearnLocker uses Apple’s Screen Time / Family Controls APIs. Confirm LearnLocker has Screen Time permission, that you selected apps to lock, and that today’s unlock gate is finished. Re-locks also happen at midnight, when a quiz unlock window ends, or when due reviews pile past your flashcard re-lock threshold.
How do I delete my data?
In the app, go to Settings → About → Delete Account Data. That removes server uploads, quizzes, and progress for your Device ID and clears local decks and settings. It does not cancel your App Store subscription. Cancel billing separately under Apple ID → Subscriptions.
Do you have accounts or passwords?
No. LearnLocker uses an anonymous Device ID. We never ask for your name or email to use the app. Include that Device ID if you email us about data deletion or account issues.
